Nose
A very gentle cherry menthol note at first; new oak staves give some wood tannins. Then moves into fresh pastry, marzipan and caramel toffee pieces.
Palate
Similar to the nose, gentle and very rich. Apricot juice, has a real clotted cream richness to it. A hint of sweet and sour sauce, pineapple and chilli. The heat builds throughout.
Finish
Spices start to build – that pineapple and chilli note lingers.
Comment
Gentle until that huge heat and spice layer builds up. You think it’s going to be simple but it’s anything but that.
