Nose
Pungent, malty, earthy and lightly coffeed with a youthful spirit edge. It’s a real old school whisky nose with hints of barley, high toned but sour apricot.
Palate
Shows a little more milky oak, malt, straw-like barley and dried grass. The intense alcohol masks but water mutes the palate. \n
Finish
Long and mouth-watering with lingering malt, dried herbs and a hint of fleshy fruit.
Comment
I expected more of the hidden fruit to come out with water.
