Tasting Notes

Nose

Oaky. Fresh oak, sawdust. Medlars. Dry apple skin. Hint of shoe polish. Touch of apricot. Digestive biscuit. A faint sulphur note.

Palate

Smooth and round. Oak is better integrated than on the nose. Butterscotch. A slight salty note. Touch of marshmallow.

Finish

Sweet and slightly spicy.

Comment

Difficult to sense the sauternes cask influence. Maybe some added sweetness but the aromas are not precise. A pleasant dram though.
