Nose

Lots of sweet shop notes to start — strawberry laces and banana foams. With water, more acidity in the form of lemonade and some toffee notes come through, too.

Palate

Pretty intense without water due to the ABV. But there are nice notes of white sponge cake, cream cheese icing, and lemon honey. Much more rounded with water, with lots of sweetness.

Finish

Less full on than expected without water. With water, medium length and pleasant.

Comment

A well-made, well-rounded whisky that could have a bit more oomph.
