Nose

Honeycomb ice cream and caramel sauce, with stewed apples and pears. Granola and candied pecan. Delicate almond biscuit. Milk cookies.

Palate

Medium-heavy bodied. Somewhat oily. Orange oils and quince jelly, blossom honey and apple crumble with cream. A dash of amaretto, then a swig of vanilla syrup.

Finish

Medium length. Fades on the sweet honey note.

Comment

A pleasing and relatively complex blended malt worthy of attention, though it’s the mouthfeel that does it for me.
