Nose

Dried herbs, including basil and oregano. Subtle coriander seed and black peppercorn. Then overripe banana and all-nut peanut butter. Lemon drizzle cake and chocolate-coated peppermints.

Palate

Medium. Herbs subside to reveal fruitcake batter, sherried sultana, chopped hazelnuts, caffè macchiato, and tinned black cherry. Underneath are subtle lemon, peppercorn, and mint.

Finish

Long-lasting nuttiness and fresh mint, with building tannins and warmth.

Comment

Softens with water, but I’d sip undiluted for a fully nuanced experience.
