Nose

Melting ice cream on warm leatherette. Clean rye notes, lightly oily. Water brings oak and a light toasty quality. Red fruits, honey and hazelnut.

Palate

Drier than the nose suggests. Runny toffee with a firmness underneath. Almost Cognac like grip. Dried apricots. Well balanced.

Finish

Slightly tight and fading quickly.

Better balance between this sweet, easy-going Canadian character and some grip.
