Nose

Charcoal: burnt toast, charred sticks on a bonfire with light oil behind. Dry grass –somewhat Brora like. With water there’s a rooty iris/dirty underwear note.

Palate

For all its strength it holds well with tarry/oily smoke, olive oil. Liquorice. Great length. Dry and firm but just lacking some balancing sweetness.

Finish

Crisp and malty/oakcake.
