Tasting Notes

Nose

Quite crisp and briny but the oils give the nose a feeling of density. Faintly astringent peat, seaweed and bog myrtle appears as does some brine laden fruit.

Palate

Quite soft and subtle. The oils are more dominant than the nose would suggest which dampens the palate. A touch of coastal peat. Seaweed and brine does come through.

Finish

Surprisingly alcoholic, but it’s not too intrusive as the oils counter balance. Finishes with some tarry-peat, violets and oily fruit.\n

Comment

Back end loaded with almost all of the character coming through on the finish.
