Tasting Notes

Nose

Fragrant. Creamy. Apricot flan. Vanilla syrup. Caramelised almonds. Gets sweeter and sweeter. Warm bakewell tart.

Palate

Rich and smooth. Clinging on the palate. Rich fruit (stewed apples seared in butter). Sylvestry flavours. Liquorice toffee. Fennel.

Finish

Dry with a slight astringency.

Comment

Tempting nose, the palate is somewhat tougher. A good example of classic bourbon maturation. Pleasant.
