ABV 45%
A still beautiful dram but it seems to have lost some muscles with the time. The nose remains intriguing and rich.

Nose: Intense. A beautiful display of balsamic scents. Cedar.Pine essence. Freshly polished oak floor. Liquorice root. Pot pourri. Cinnamon tea. Atmospheric
Palate: Soft, silky. Oak prevails but not in an assertive way. Well balanced although it seems to have passed its peak. A certain weakness at mid palate
Finish: Soft, slightly tired.

Taster
Nose: Perfumed: anise, furniture polish, mures/blackberry, candied peel. Heady and sweet, the opens into sweet wood(cedar),then rose and a dry roasted spiciness. Cognac like.
Palate: Dusty. Cinnamon balls exploding in the mouth. Citrus balanced by deep sweet power, cherry stone and light leather.
Finish: Long. Coconut. Marasco, sweet spice.
Comment: A deeply classy bourbon. Recommended.
Score: 8.2
