Nose
Starts with a lovely fresh-garden scent of sweet pea flowers and perhaps even green beans in the height of the season. There’s a fleshiness there as well, alongside vanilla bonbons, and a slight brandy character.
Palate
Wonderful velvety texture and a good, full body. Marzipan, apricot, dried fruits, and nutmeg. Doesn’t benefit from much water.
Finish
Long, fruity finish classic to this style.
Comment
Really good example of Irish pot still whiskey — one I’d happily come back to.
