Nose

Initially a damp cardboard note that gives way to fresh oranges, Kola Cubes, and cedar. It’s very sweet — crystallised sugar, apple lollies — but there’s a spice there too, of cinnamon and cloves.

Palate

A mix here: apple cinnamon cake, alongside cream soda, some peaches and spearmint, and a lot of spice. Needs water as it’s hot.

Finish

Fairly drying with notes of woody spice.

Comment

Underneath the intense spiciness there is something fruity and sweet, but it feels like it needs more time in cask to soften the edges.
