Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Fresh white flowers, citrus zest and some dusty overtones. You’d struggle to point this out as malty. Much more like a grain-based product.

Palate: Vanilla, lemon grass, some pineapple juice. There is an extreme lightness to this. A very light product that hasn’t taken enough from the cask.\n

Finish: Lemon zest and slight hints of other citrus fruits. \n

Comment: Approach this with your grain-flavour hat and you’ll have a great experience.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Quite barley sweet with a lovely combination of youth and maturity. Exceedingly estery with banana, apricot, pineapple and subtle American oak. Hints of honey and classic Speyside grassiness.

Palate: Shows less tropical character and more of the straw-like white fruit. Good dollop of mature honey and oak with hints of grass and minerals.

Finish: Long and oily with a spicy finish and earthy / herbal after-taste.

Comment: This subscribes to the simple fact of good spirit plus good wood equals a \ngood blend!
