Nose

A smoky wee beast — lots of drifting campfire smoke, toasted marshmallows, and waxy honey. The smoke dissipates slightly after sitting in the glass a moment, giving way to more sweetness.

Palate

Fair amounts of ashy smoke, burning wood, lemon, pine trees, honey, vanilla, and white sponge. Feels like it would help cure a winter cold.

Finish

Lingering smoke and a slight liquorice note alongside the vanilla.

Comment

An enjoyably robust and warming dram, this is one to sip neat on a cold day.
