Nose
Pungent, earthy, mature fruit aromas. A melange of Colombian coffee, dry, sherry spices, lush honey, stewed fruit, prune and dark chocolate. Evocative and deep with a developing citrus character. \n
Palate
Gentle, full and mature with prune, walnut, dark honey and an Armagnac-esque rancio. Mature fruit and oak with biting, bittering, balancing wood spice, citrus and mineral notes. \n
Finish
Long and juicy with the mature Armagnac-esque dried fruit and spice lingering. Finishes with a touch of dusty cocoa powder. \n
Comment
That’s a fine old Speyside malt!
