Nose
A big rubbery note to start, like a bicycle inner tube, easing into polished mahogany, worn leather, walnut shells and dried fruit.
Palate
It comes to life here with more polished wood and a decadent dried fig, prune, cherry-chocolate richness. The overwhelming effect is rancio and sherry-driven, with the earthiness of a dunnage warehouse, old walnut shells and worn leather.
Finish
Liquorice, sherry and dusty leather-bound books with a fading hint of rubber.
Comment
Refined, rancio-driven and really quite intriguing.
