Nose

A complex nose that speaks of age — dark fruits covered in chocolate, a bit of a heady warehouse scent (dirt, maturing casks), stewed pears, and almonds. Luscious.

Palate

Nutty (hazelnuts, almonds) alongside treacle, raisins, and cocoa but with a good amount of fruit like maraschino cherries.

Finish

A good hit of baking spices comes through before a slightly grassy finish.

Thoroughly enjoyable. One to sip slowly on a cold autumn night.
