Nose
Big, fruity, with a green and floral undertone. Tinned peaches, fresh sheets and lilies, not to mention wood varnish, acetone and nutmeg.
Palate
Warming, with a plasticky mouthfeel – water makes this silky. Big, with fleshy stone fruit before a bitterness comes in akin to sucking on a nectarine pit. Charred orange peel, cinnamon and dried chilli flakes in the back.
Finish
Charred bitter citrus pith and warming chilli spice linger on.
Comment
Not a whisky that sits on the fence. Powerful, fruity, and pretty great.
