Nose

A dark, almost ruby-red malt with intense notes of floor polish, dried raisins and prunes, orange peel, and some overripe banana.

Palate

Wonderfully full, with lots of overripe pineapple, blackcurrant, toasted almonds, and black liquorice. A touch of something almost smoky, most likely from the cask rather than barley.

Finish

Long and rich, leaving my mouth coated for ages after the sip finishes.

An absolutely delicious dram: unctuous, warming, fruity, and well balanced.
