Nose

Lots going on here: nice orange peel and just a touch of wood spice alongside some baked apples. There’s a pleasant sweetness — apricot Danish pastries and vanilla crème pâtissière.

Palate

On the palate a little smoke emerges, alongside that fruit: again, baked apples and vanilla ice cream, pear drops, and honey. A gentle spiciness too keeps things balanced.

Finish

Long and lingering, with a good acidity and nutmeg spice.

A very enjoyable, classically robust Highland malt.
