Nose

Like a big comforting hug, this one — a really nice balance of sweetness and oak in the form of pain aux raisins, chocolate-covered strawberries, furniture polish, and oranges.

Palate

Deliciously inviting — lots of dark chocolate raisins, rhubarb and custard sweets, orange peel, honeysuckle, and nutmeg.

Finish

Fairly spicy but well-rounded and lasting.

Comment

This one got me from the first nose — complex but approachable, drinkable but still able to give pause.
