Tasting Notes

Nose

Touch of solvent taking us back to Mr B&Q ( a UK hardware store - ED) but saved by a quirky dustiness and smoke. Water brings out fresh cow pats. Linoleum. A little unformed.

Palate

Hickory smoke, peanut with extra caramel on top. Very long, smooth and sweet. Balanced with intense peat.

Finish

Char and toffee.

Comment

At their best, these are approachable, easy-drinking whiskies. This is a good example.
