Nose
An immediate hit of medical aromas: smoke, lint, Arbroath smokies, heather. Water lifts out some perfume and a sweetness.
Palate
Medium bodied. Balances soft fruit with dry smoky character. Not quite as in yer face as the nose implies.
Finish
Dry and sooty.
Comment
It lacks oomph mid-palate but a great starter.
