Nose

Waxy crayons, some burnt sugar, and honeycomb. A touch of cooked apple, citrus, vanilla, and that smell of newspapers you get in a newsagent.

Palate

Bright and refreshing — there’s pear drops, strawberry laces, cinder toffee, and spun sugar with just a touch of some earthy smoke and wet newspaper.

Finish

Slightly ashy with notes of white sugar.

Comment

A delightful little whisky, if a little young as there’s some lingering new make notes there but overall very tasty.
