A good sipper, but too woody for me.
15 Years Old
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Serious, 'aged' nose with velvety peach, vanilla, wild herb notes.
Palate: Very soft to start: cinnamon, sugar, butter, honey, then dries.
Comment: A good sipper, but too woody for me.
Nose: Appetising. Fresh, smooth, spicy.
Palate: Smooth. Sweet. Flavours dance on the tongue.
Finish: Just when I had this tagged as being delicate, a big punch with a fist of oak concluded the proceedings.
Comment: Stylish and disarming, but not to be taken lightly. Reminds me of Kentucky's greatest boxer.
