Nose

Buttered corn, Refresher sweets. A faint metallic edge, but rounded with sweetness – like tinned strawberries. Rhubarb compete, dried pineapple and coconut. A grain note similar to Rice Krispies.

Palate

Sweet with honey. Syrup waffles with melted dark chocolate. Poached pears, rhubarb and creaminess of custard. Sugared almonds.

Finish

Long and sweet with a little black smoked tea tannins.

Comment

A really lovely dram – the lack of spice makes it sweet all the way.
