Taster

Nose: Confectionery notes like fruit gums, marsh mallow and candy floss. Some wood glue. Fresh red apple – Red Lady. Over-bloomed roses, strawberry ice cream and mint jelly.

Palate: Juicy apples with toffee crisp coating. Develops into apple pie with aromatic spices of turmeric and tamarind.

Finish: Mouthwatering and dryer on the finale.

Comment: I love the exotic character but water loosened it up a little too much.

Taster

Nose: Brazil nut shells, a fermented fruit note, white pepper hard caramel and a hint of exotic spice.

Palate: Tangy orange segments, fizzy sherbet, a touch of sweet tea and fresh cherries.

Finish: The cherries lead the way with a pleasant tanginess and the palate is left with a lovely spicy oakiness to it.

Comment: A very ‘adult’ whisky. Stonking stuff.
