Nose

Curry leaf and stewed beef with fennel, cranberry and plum sauce. Ground coriander seed, five-spice and a pleasant, subtle note of apple cider vinegar. Under it all, ripe pears and apples stewed with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate

Light. The savoury notes are here but subtler, balanced by cloudy apple juice and winter melon. Then comes banoffee pie and whipped cream, with buttery and sweet shortcrust pastry.

Finish

Medium. Brown sugar and pastry.

Comment

Immensely drinkable, but the nose offers more depth than the palate.
