Nose

Dusty malt bin and juicy, ripe peaches and pears. It’s a little bit bready as well.

Palate

Gentle, sweet and oily, with lots of tropical fruit juice – pineapple, mango and papaya. There’s a touch of cut grass and pepper in the background with some lovely oak spice.

Finish

Soft, fruity and quite long with a touch of pepper and hay.

Comment

This is a lovely whisky, but if I hadn’t been told this was a rye, I’d have had no idea.
