Nose

There’s a comforting note to begin with that reminds one of a roaring fireplace in winter, perhaps even with a Christmas tree nearby. A touch of wet smoke, custard, and cooked pears.

Palate

Great integrated smoke here; there’s a dampness to it that helps it to stick to all corners of the mouth. Lovely sweetness alongside ginger and treacle.

Finish

The smoke sticks around but in the best possible way.
