Nose

Floral notes of apple, elderflower, jasmine, and rose, like sitting outside at a wedding. Time reveals a spiciness, black pepper especially.

Palate

Nutmeg, black pepper, and hints of ginger. Water dilutes the spiciness and brings more citrus notes, including lime, as well as apple and elderflower juice.

Finish

Medium length and very smooth, the pepper fading nicely.

Comment

A fairly enjoyable rye, better sipped neat to appreciate its spice.
