Nose

Brambles and pencil shavings, sesame oil and old, varnished oak furniture. Glace cherry and almond – we’re in cherry Bakewell tart territory.

Palate

Medium bodied. Clove and nutmeg up front with cocoa powder and Branca Menta. Under it all is a solid tropical foundation of dried mango and pineapple too.

Finish

Medium-long. The Bakewell character fades slowly.

Comment

Remarkably delicate, considering the ABV. Well balanced and complex.
