Nose
Dark and almost brooding in the glass. You can almost smell that it’s going to feel thick on the palate. There are red apple skins, almost venturing into Cognac notes. Some leather, burnt orange and Cointreau crêpes.
Palate
Thick and viscous — cherries and liquorice, nutmeg and pepper spice. Chewy and mouth numbing at full strength.
Finish
Lengthy and mouthcoating. My mouth was still feeling it a long while after.
Comment
This is a huge whisky. It bursts at the edges of the glass.
