Nose

Woody, dark cocoa beans, freshly opened bag of Ethiopian fruity coffee, something slightly lactic, some nuts (hazelnuts), and a little bit of candle wax.

Palate

Fresh, cooling, nutty, sugar-covered nuts (pecans especially), dark chocolate, toast, a bit of butter and vanilla.

Finish

The chocolate note lingers, alongside a bit of spice around the sides and back of palate. Finishes with a slightly bitter note.

Comment

An interesting whisky. I’m curious to know the casks used here.
