Nose

Cinder toffee, vanilla marshmallows, white grapes, and some smoke to start — I’m immediately intrigued.

Palate

Dark treacle and soot, followed by honey-soaked nectarines. A nice silky texture rounds it out well.

Finish

Medium length with a good bite and note of smoked sausages.

Comment

I like this from the get-go and only thought it could have had a slightly weightier palate if the ABV had been a bit higher. Overall, a great winter whisky.
