Nose
Stewed plums, packets of dates, fig vinegar and chocolate roasted malt, and a savoury side, sweated onions with sugar and ginger. Then it sweetens up. Eventually a fresh chopped wood note comes through.
Palate
Sweet, dark honey up front which then gets over taken by the spices, cinnamon, cardamom and black pepper. The is darks again with malt loaf and ginger preserve.
Finish
Just waves of all that spice and pepper keep going; very morish.
Comment
Lovely stuff, like eating spicy biltong while chopping wood.
