Simple, light and drying. Sip on a hot summer's day when you fancy a whisky, but not the heft of most drams.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Light and fresh. Lemon sherbet and giant strawberry sweets, freshly laundered sheets, violets, oak shavings, vanilla butter-scotch and canned air. Yes, seriously.

Palate: Plenty of spice. It’s peppery and drying, with toffee, lemon pith, lime peel, desiccated coconut and those strawberry sweets \r\nwith sawdust.

Finish: A prickly heat alongside the toffee and a salty, grassy note.

Comment: Simple, light and drying. Sip on a hot summer's day when you fancy a whisky, but not the heft of most drams.

Taster

Nose: A gentle smoke, but then huge sweetness builds. Tablet and brown sugar. There’s a mineralitly too, warm wet stones, fresh fish and just lit charcoal.

Palate: Strawberry fondant, lemon curd buns and some serious citrus. Then white pepper spice and caramel. Chilli, lime and hot chocolate drank by the sea.

Finish: Another spicy, prickly finish and fairly short with a hint of salted meat.

Comment: A great pre-dinner whisky, that peat is not going to dominate anything. Nice balance too.
