Nose

Orange wine gum, nutty sherry, ground cinnamon, and raisins. Fruit cake topped with flaked almonds and a sugar glaze. Toffee apple and crunchy crème brûlée top. Elderflower cordial.

Palate

Light-medium. Syrupy orange sponge cake, with candied peel, sultana, and peanut. Sweet popcorn, caramel sauce, and cocoa-dusted mocha. A tiny touch of sulphur.

Finish

Medium. Leaves a little nuttiness and chocolate-coated orange cream.

Comment

A little fierce, but water opens up lovely toffee and red-fruit notes.
