Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Roasted red chillies, cumin warming in a pan. Maple syrup sweetness, fresh baked bread. Toffee pennies, dark chocolate cream eclairs. A little candy floss and menthol edge.
Palate: Toffee apples, rhubarb and custard sweets, hard caramel bars and milk chocolate. Some nutty oil notes, linseed and olive, then frangipane.
Finish: Vanishes leaving sugar syrup.
Comment: Like licking the back of a stamp, sweetness all the way.
Nose: Jam packed with lemon and raspberry. Dry roasted peanuts, coconut covered marshmallows and orange jelly with peppermint tea and tomato ketchup crisps.
Palate: Initial sweetness changes to savoury notes of beansprout noodles and black bean sauce, beer batter, sun dried tomatoes and traces of cayenne pepper.
Finish: A peppery finish appears, that lengthens the palate.
Comment: A taste receptor rollercoaster.
