Nose

Dubbin, blackberry preserve, Okonomi sauce, and stewed red apple. A little clove and tarragon. Whisp of wood smoke.

Palate

Medium bodied. Hard dry cider and vanilla, stewed orchard fruits and berries, followed by pistachio butter and date. Golden syrup and more red apple, dipped in toffee.

Finish

Medium-long. Ends with skin-on peanut and red apple.

Comment

A slightly spiritous edge lurks behind an otherwise pleasing well-balanced dram.
