Tasting Notes

Nose

Deep, oaky. Damp warehouse. Fungal. Strong sherry influence. Dark chocolate. Cooked damson plums. A balsamic touch (cedar, eucalyptus).

Palate

Smooth, sweet. Oaky but oak is well integrated. Plenty of liquorice and chocolate.

Finish

Dry, slightly astringent. Peppery.

Comment

A beautiful dram but just on the edge of having spent too long in cask.
