Tasting Notes

Nose

Intense astringent peat, iodine soaked bandages, salt and slabs of malt. Agricole dried fruit, treacle, tar, thick cut orange rind, coffeed wood spice, medicinal herbs and violets.

Palate

Thick treacle, prunes, walnuts, liquorice and dried fruit. Medicinal, smoky with a lovely peat intensity. Neat, the sweet malt and stewed tea balance.\n

Finish

Long, smoky and earthy with lingering peat, treacle, winey, pruney dried fruit and medicinal notes.\n

Comment

Absolutely stunning. If this is the distillery I think it is, it continues to impress me with its releases.
