Tasting Notes

Nose

Intense, rich, deep oak. Antique furniture shop. Touch of Turkish delight. Fading roses. Dried fruit. Dates and raisins. Opens on pastry notes. Dundee cake. Coffee and walnut cake. Really enticing.

Palate

Round, silky (raw silk). Wood is dominating but in an elegant way. Rich, melted oak. Tobacco leaf. A hint of burnt wood.

Finish

Lingering, dry, with a clean astringent edge.

Comment

A superb after dinner dram.
