Nose
Reminds me initially of Bronchostop pastilles — dried thyme and marshmallow root combine for a herbal and sweet mix. Then some cola cubes.
Palate
Dark rye bread, molasses, and cherry cough candies dominate without water. With a splash to bring down the high ABV, it’s more rounded.
Finish
A sweet bitterness and chilli heat with no water. Without, it’s long and a slight citrus and smoke note comes through.
Comment
A punchy but tasty whisky that initially had some hallmarks of a bourbon, which I was curious about.
