Nose
Thick and weighty aromas of ‘beery’ malt, coffee, dark chocolate, boiled sweets and rye-like herbal notes. Tarry, oily, fishy and viscous. Water makes it younger and more herbal.
Palate
Intense, alcoholic and malty with beef extract, herbs, tar and thick slabs of primal, oozing, oily peat! Water brings out a barley sweetness and earthy, straw-like grappa notes.
Finish
Eye wateringly alcoholic! The malt, sooty peat and coastal oils stick to the mouth taking minutes to dissipate!
Comment
If George T. Stagg was peated then it would probably be like this.
