Nose

Quite shy at first, then wafts of menthol. Coffee grinds and steamed milk. Cherry pie with vanilla custard essence. Water opens up the oak, pencil boxes and humidors.

Palate

Big hits of fruit roll through, apples in a Calvados way, upside down pineapple cake. Melted caramel and dark chocolate with some chilli flakes and sea salt crystals.

Finish

Long and warm, with a decent grip coming from the oak.

Comment

Lovely stuff, the ABV does not make itself known, but a drop of water really opens out the wood notes.
