The nose is miles away from the palate. Sad as I was expecting more\rcomplexity and subtlety.

Taster

Nose: Spirity at first. Earthy. Wet leaves. On time a heady floral note. Peony. A\rmusky rose fragrance. A very attractive floral bouquet.

Palate: Immediately woody and grippy. Praline and chocolate.

Finish: Dry and astringent.

Comment: The nose is miles away from the palate. Sad as I was expecting more\rcomplexity and subtlety.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Young but richly coloured and fruitladen. Clafouti, plum, redcurrant,\rstewed rhubarb. Good complexity with clean, fresh lemon behind.

Palate: Sweet and chewy with excellent texture and deep soft gentle fresh\rfruitiness.

Finish: Ripe and soft.

Comment: On this evidence, Penderyn is really finding its feet. Generous\rand compelling. Compare to the Tomintoul.
