Nose
Very particular. Fruity and balsamic. Eucalyptus and myrtle. Black fruit. Bramble, blueberry. Then a malty note slowly emerging.
Palate
Oily, with a thick syrupy feel. Oak prevails but in a pleasant way, giving way to a slight astringency and spiciness. Spicy myrtle. Eucalyptus too.
Finish
Spicy, much drier. Licorice and myrtle.
Comment
An unusual aromatic profile (when compared to Scottish single malt) with a character of its own. Well balanced and deeply rooted in Corsica nature.
