Nose

A crisp, lively nose with gentle spice to the peat-reek. Salty and nutty, chunky iodine, ripe pears.

Palate

Explosive stuff with heavy, chewy peat. Nothing like as complex as the nose but the vanilla does offer a calming diversion.

Finish

Good age with intense vanilla lingering on a higher layer than the deeper, yet sweeter peat.

This is a very big whisky which has withstood the test of time. Top rate and memorable.
